> Professional experience, timeline, and career milestones.

Milestones of a journey spanning digital pioneering, stack consulting, and university teaching. My career trajectory shows how the web has evolved – from table layouts to agent workflows – and why a clean architecture and a frustration-free UX are more critical today than ever before.

### July 1996 – June 2000 – Layout Artist, Media Designer, Illustrator and Editor, Center for Operative Information · Bundeswehr · Mayen (RLP)

Commissioned by NATO during the SFOR mission, I designed the youth magazine MIRKO – one of the most important media of the peace mission, distributed to young people in post-war Bosnia. A music and lifestyle magazine with a mission: to overcome nationalist tunnel vision, promote tolerance, and keep young people in their homeland. Layout as a tool for peace.

### July 1996 – June 2000 – Art Director & Print Production, NATO (SFOR) · Sarajevo · Bosnia and Herzegovina

Twice on-site at the SFOR headquarters in Sarajevo – embedded in the multinational CJICTF and later CJPOTF, with English as the working language. Secured the print quality of MIRKO in a local printing plant – and gave the Herald of Progress, the second large NATO print medium of the mission, a new face. Design under real conditions, in the midst of rebuilding a country.

### July 1996 – June 2000 – Local Editor, Rhein-Zeitung · Andernach (RLP)

On loan from the MIRKO editorial office, I learned the basics of journalism – and quickly added my own accents: several articles, my own column, and a lead story in the local section that made it into the main edition of the Rhein-Zeitung. Communication has always been my strength.
